International Nurses Day 2025
The Basaveshwara Medical College and Hospital, Chitradurga, celebrated International Nurses Day on 30th May 2025 with great enthusiasm and reverence at the Akkamahadevi Auditorium. The event began with a prayer dance by Ku. Yashaswini, a prayer by Mrs. Sharadamma and team, the symbolic watering of a plant, and the garlanding of Florence Nightingale’s portrait to honor her as the pioneer of modern nursing. Mrs. Sharadamma J. H, Nursing Officer, delivered the welcome address, followed by a compering by Ms. Manjushree A. and Ms. Priyanka B. Nursing Superintendent Mr. Halaswamy KMG highlighted the vital role of nursing in social, medical, and humanitarian fields, shared Florence Nightingale’s contributions and achievements, and encouraged staff to carry forward her legacy.
