Children’s day Health and Oral hygiene program

On the occasion of Children day Basaveshwara Medical College and Hospital and SJM Dental College has organized free health and oral hygiene program for muruga matha Children. A health awareness program was also organized for Muruga matha children. If children have any health problems they should bring it to the attention of their parents and should not eat junk food and should consume good healthy food so that they can stay healthy, said Dr. Rajesh MS, Medical Superintendent of Basaveshwara Hospital. In recent times, many children are suffering from dental problems, the main reason for which is that they do not maintain proper oral and dental hygiene. Parents should inform their children about this at home and advise them to rinse their mouths immediately after eating any food especially sweet, said Dr. Raghunath Reddy, Principal of S.J.M. Dental College. Dr. Nagendra Gowda, Deputy Medical Superintendent of Basaveshwara Hospital, made the children aware of the importance of body cleanliness, the problems it causes, and hand hygiene.
The program was attended by Dr. Rajesh M.S. Medical Superintendent BMCH, Dr. M H. Raghunath Reddy, Principal, SJM Dental College and Hospital, Nagendra Gowda Deputy Medical Superintendent, BMCH, Dr. Basavanthappa HOD, Dept. of Pediatrics, Oral Specialists Dr.Jayachandra, Dr.Sharath. Overall, the Children’s Day celebration program was meaningfully celebrated at the collaborate of Basaveshwara Medical College and Hospital and S.J.M Dental College and Hospital. Free toothpaste and toothbrush were distributed to the children.
